Jesus Preaches the Kingdom:
This is the second of the Luminous mysteriies.
I often rearrange my personal rosary to have the luminous mysteries follow the Joyful mysteries because it seems to fit
the chronology better.
Jesus Preaches the kingdom:
This includes Jesus telling the good news in word and deed. I think not only of the sermon on the mount but also
of the acts of the gospel. By this I mean the evidence of the truth of the words of the gospel. For instance,
Jesus opening the eyes of the blind, opening the ears of the deaf, and making the lame to walk again.
Jesus Preaches the kingdom:
Includes the message of each act. They were not merely acts of kindness but they were messages of the kingdom.
Our eyes are blinded by many things. This blindness prevents us from seeing Jesus. He heals our blindness.
Our ears are deaf to the messages from God. Because we are deaf we do not heed the words of warning nor caress
the words of encouragement. Jesus opens our ears.
We are crippled and paralytic and we cannot function properly in this world because of the effects of not seeing and
not hearing. Jesus heals our paralysis so that we can walk upright in his way.
